The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria ( FAAN) has assured management of Green Africa Airlines of conducive operating environment at its Ibadan Airport.
The assurance was given by the Manager of Ibadan Airport, Mr Afolabi Ojo on Wednesday in his welcome address while receiving a team from Green African Airlines on a visit to Ibadan Airport in preparation for flight operations of the airline to the Airport.
Ojo who assured the Green Africa team of a conducive working environment also related the enormous intervention Oyo State government has made with the construction of Jet A1 storage facility which will soon become operational within the airport.
Speaking at the brief reception Senior Manager, Airport Services, Mr.Olayinka Adeyiga said the team was in Ibadan to brief the Management of Ibadan Airport on the readiness to put things in place for effective air operations
Adeyiga assured the Management of the airport that the airline will tentatively commence daily flight operations between Ibadan and Abuja in August, 2023.
He however, added that flights operations would be extended between Ibadan and eastern region of the country, Owerri in particular, sequel to persistent request by prospective passengers on the route.
According to Mr, Olayinka, Green Africa will be operating everyday with a 70 seater ATR72600 aircraft.
